For the last few days, I have enjoyed eating my lunch outside. It’s nice to get away from my desk and sprawl in a semi-ladylike fashion on the grass in the office parking lot.
The grass is green, the sun is shining and the wind is blowing. It’s that last part that causes me some frustration: the wind.
Long hair and Wisconsin wind are not a good combination.
Watch below as I demonstrate the futility of trying to eat lunch without my hair tied back.
This evening, I bought a few new hair do-dads, since the rest have either broken or are missing. Hopefully that will ease my wind problem and allow me to go on enjoying my lunch without ingesting my own hair. Eew.
Side note: I have also discovered that medium length dresses or skirts of lightweight material are not the best idea on windy days here. Today, it is very possible that I flashed at least one coworker. Whoops. :)
The Queen of England has fishing weights in her hems to prevent the wind from disrobing her. Or wear knee socks and staple your skirt to the tops.
ReplyDeleteAunt Duddie: Ha! I like the fishing weights idea. If I used strong enough weights, it could be a muscle building exercise. :)
