My morning jog has turned into a photography + exercise activity. I alter my route every day so that I can find new things to take pictures of. Today that kind of backfired. At the end of my workout, I thought I knew where I was… but didn’t account for the lakeshore not running parallel to the road that I was used to.
Anyway, I figured it out and made it home just fine. It added a bit of distance to my jog, which was good. (Total jogging distance was 1.6 miles. I turn my tracking app off when I walk.)
I also found some neat stairs to run up (although they are metal and somewhat treacherous when wet). I got to the top and wanted to die.
The weather was rather overcast and slightly rainy this morning. It made me feel right at home!
Above: I told that duck to hold still, but he just wouldn’t listen.
Above (and most of the ones below): On the beach of Lake Michigan.
Above: I don’t know if you can tell or not, but I am actually jumping… not just standing weird.
Above: These buildings are a bit close together. The one of the left is a commercial building and I think the one on the right is abandoned. There are quite a few buildings similar to this downtown.
Geeky Note
For the photos of myself, I used the Gorillacam iPhone app with the self timer and 3 shot burst settings.
Some of these photographs gave me vertigo.....
