Today I finally figured out how to prevent my mug from overflowing as the coffee machine (powered by a quarter a pop) drips a flow of caffeinated goodness.
Yesterday, I had several spills (all in the kitchen, thank goodness) because my mug is just a tad too small for the amount of liquid the machine dispenses.
Since I usually select the ‘mocha’ option, the machine first produces a small ‘shot’ of hot chocolate. Then, it follows up with a longer stream of coffee. If I split these up by quickly replacing my chocolate ‘shot’ cup with the mug, I am able to prevent the mug from overflowing and combine them later.
I am rather proud of my idea. I want to make sure I get the most out of my 25 cents! (And yes, we do pay for coffee from the machine here. But, I think it’s worth it. You can customize it as you like and choose from several options. Plus, it’s fresh made right as you are standing there.)
What does the machine looks like?
