I don’t have a tv here in Sheboygan. (Actually, I don’t have one back home in WA either.) And I don’t mind at all. Usually, I watch tv shows and movies on Hulu, but I decided to leave my personal laptop back at home and force myself to spend more time on other hobbies – exercise, studying, cooking and re-learning how to play the ukulele.
I haven’t practiced for several months, so I’m looking forward to working on getting more familiar with chords I have already forgotten.
Here’s a brief clip of some finger picking (just audio – no video). Enjoy. :)
I’m currently working on learning how to play “You and I” by Ingrid Michaelson. A certain friend of mine promised to sing it with me (actually, she will sing and I will strum). I’m going to need a lot of practice!
Note: this is an unlisted video on youtube. The only place you can see (or hear) it is right here.
JB - you have a TALENT!!! (Don't forget to learn a song for the Luau!) Very sweet and I can't wait to hear more ;)!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Aunt Duddie! :) I'm working on something for the Luau. Not a Hawaiian song necessarily, but it still has that feel. Hopefully Neva will sing with me! Because the last time I tried to play the uke and sing... I totally froze in front of everyone. :(
ReplyDeleteWell we heard you do the song for Ethyl and you sounded fine and you were just a rookie then. Unca Sam just listened to your pickin' and he enjoyed it very much. His finger is starting to respond so hopefully he will be healed enough to play well at the doo-dad. It will be loads of fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear Sam's finger is healing well! Tell him HI for me. :)
