Beets. Bears. Battlestar Galactica.

Okay, so mainly just beets. :) (Jayne: You do realize that most of these Office quotes are for your benefit, right?)

I bought these small beets at the Sheboygan Farmer’s Market last Saturday.

It took about 30 mins of boiling for them to become tender. But, I love them! They are so much better than the canned ones that I am used to. I’ll definitely be cooking beets more often when I get back home.

    Hmmmm - I bake them and peel them while wearing gloves. Or I get Unca Sam to peel them... I think baking is a lot easier when we are canning them. I heart beets.

    Aunt Duddie: Good suggestion about wearing gloves... although my stained hands were pretty easy to clean with some soap.

    Ha! Hey, that brings up another of my favorite movies: "So I Married An....." :)
